HOW MUCH DOES THIS COST?
Jones Travel Co. fees are 20% of your total budget. For example, if your budget is $1,000, Jones Travel Co. will use $200 to cover fees and the remaining $800 will be used to plan your trip. Once you have completed your pre-trip survey, you will receive an invoice via email with a secure payment link to officially book your trip. Your total budget is due before planning can begin, however, monthly payment options are available through Affirm.
WHAT IF I DON'T WANT TO GO WHERE YOU HAVE PLANNED FOR ME TO?
This is why the pre-trip survey is so important. There is a section to include anywhere that you do not wish to go. If you have booked a surprise trip, we can reassure you we have thoroughly reviewed your wishes via the pre-trip survey and will not send you anywhere you do not wish to go.
WHAT IF I HAVE TO CANCEL MY TRIP?
When Jones Travel Co. books your flights, we will consult with you regarding the type of ticket- non-refundable tickets are less expensive than refundable, however refundable tickets allow you to cancel/ change your flight. If you wish to proceed with non-refundable ticket, we will not be able to assist with cancelling or changing your flight. Hotels and BnB's typically have flexible cancellation policies and should not be an issue depending on the amount of notice we have received. We understand life happens and are more than willing to assist with a cancellation if needed.
CAN I BRING MY PET?
If your pet is a registered service animal, yes. If not, no.
WHAT IF I DON'T WANT TO BE SURPRISED?
We offer an experience option for you to plan your own trip with our assistance! No surprise involved.
WHAT IF YOU HAVE MONEY LEFT OVER AFTER PLANNING MY TRIP?
We will use every penny you have paid us minus our fee to plan your trip. We will provide you with documentation of everything we booked and associated costs when you receive your vacation information 3 days before departure!
HOW MUCH COMMUNICATION WILL WE HAVE WITH YOU IF WE BOOKED A SURPRISE TRIP?
At Jones Travel Co. our primary concern is ensuring our customers trust us and are comfortable every step of the way throughout the planning process. While we want to surprise you, we will be in communication with you as much or as little as you like! We are very personable and willing to customize our business to fit your needs!
DO I NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE?
We are happy to provide you with a travel insurance quote (that will be deducted from your budget) if you wish. We understand that unplanned events happen and it may be worth considering if you want your trip to be more protected. With travel insurance, cancellations are typically easier and refunds more likely. However, not all travel insurance companies will cover airline cancellations.
CAN I RECEIVE MY TRIP INFO PRIOR TO ONE WEEK BEFORE DEPARTURE?
Absolutely! Even though we want you to be truly surprised, you can let us know if you wish to have your information sooner. This is your vacation and your money! However, for those who love adventure, we recommend waiting until one week before departure to open your packet, and waiting until the morning of to view the destination page.
